About

The Okra Project is a Black trans-led mutual aid nonprofit providing resources by and for the Black trans community. Its Rides and Meals Fund supports Black transgender individuals with help paying for groceries, meals, and safe transportation through Uber, and its Black Trans Therapy Fund offers free or reduced-cost counseling through a partnership with BetterHelp. Both are open to apply now. The Okra Project also runs seasonal funds for rent, utilities, holiday groceries, and wellness, so check the programs page for what is currently accepting applications.
