Tenant education program operated by Transition Projects covering budgeting, rental application processes, tenant rights, and landlord expectations. Graduates receive a certificate that strengthens future rental applications and unlocks the Oregon Rent Guarantee Program, landlords get up to $5,000 coverage for damages, eviction costs, or unpaid rent if a RentWell graduate's tenancy has issues in the first year. Particularly valuable for trans clients with thin rental history, name-change records, or past credit issues. Community agencies can become certified Rent Well instructors through the Tenant Educator Academy.
