About

PDXWIT is a grassroots, volunteer-driven community working to make Portland-area tech more inclusive through events, mentorship, education, and allyship. It brings together people of all backgrounds, experience levels, and identities, and is explicitly inclusive of trans and nonbinary people. Participation is free; the main ways to engage are its Meetup group, Slack community, and regular in-person events serving the greater Portland region.

You don't have to label what's happening to reach out. This path covers the immediate steps for getting safe, how to access shelter (including culturally specific programs for LGBTQ+, Latina/o, Black, Native, and immigrant survivors), housing rights Oregon law gives you, and financial help available only to survivors.
