PDX Housing Solidarity Project is a volunteer group founded in 2021 that supports Black and Indigenous first-time homebuyers in Portland through a model of wealth redistribution and reparations. Volunteers act as resource navigators helping buyers work with realtors and mortgage brokers, some buyers receive cash gifts or no-interest down-payment loans, and the group facilitates direct home sales so buyers can avoid bidding wars.
