Papalaxsimisha (meaning unity in ichishkin, the Warm Springs language) is a culturally specific program serving Native American and Alaska Native families across Jefferson, Wasco, and Deschutes counties, most belonging to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Founded in 2014, it creates spaces for collective healing rooted in traditional knowledge, first foods, language, and culture, and explicitly centers underserved community members including youth and LGBTQ2S+ people. Programming includes Native American Student Unions, a women's crafting circle, college and career prep, and youth leadership. Engage via their Facebook page.
