Water in the Desert is a Portland-based nonprofit that produces multidisciplinary, embodied arts experiences, residencies, and educational programming rooted in social, ecological, and cultural justice. Its core Subsidized Space Program provides free studio and theater space primarily to artists, organizers, and healers at the intersections of Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Disabled, Immigrant, Trans, Elder, Queer, and low-income communities.
