The Next Door Inc (TNDI) is the largest social-service agency in the Columbia River Gorge, serving Hood River and The Dalles since 1971. It runs mental-health counseling for ages 3 to 26 (accepting OHP and a sliding-scale fee, with no one turned away for inability to pay), family services, substance-use treatment, youth programs, health promotion, and economic development, across the Oregon and Washington sides of the Gorge.
