Details
Soapstone is a grassroots organization founded in the early 1990s to support women writers, originally by running solitary writing residencies at a retreat in Oregon's Coast Range; Ursula K. Le Guin served as its first president. After selling the retreat property in 2013, Soapstone now offers a year-round program of study groups focused on women writers. Interested participants can learn about current study groups through the website.
