Since 1979, Shelter from the Storm has been Union County's only provider of confidential advocacy and emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Free services include a 24/7 crisis and support line, safety planning, emotional support and peer counseling, help navigating legal and medical systems, restraining-order assistance, and trauma-informed counseling. The organization states it does not discriminate on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation. Call 541-963-9261 (24-hour) or walk in during weekday office hours.
