Heart of Grant County is a John Day-based nonprofit serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence with free, confidential advocacy and emergency shelter. Its Meredith House trauma service center offers private advocacy space and can house a few families, and is pet-friendly. Advocates provide crisis support, safety planning, and community education, including teen dating violence prevention. Reach the crisis line at 541-620-1342.
