Gather:Make:Shelter is a Portland nonprofit, founded in 2017 by artist Dana Lynn Louis, that connects people experiencing houselessness and poverty to creative opportunities. It runs free weekly workshops in ceramics, drawing, painting, creative writing, printmaking, and clothing design, where participants make art alongside others, share a meal, and are paid a stipend for their work.
