About
Birch Community Services helps families build financial stability by pairing food support with financial education. Participating families apply, contribute a modest fee, and volunteer time, and in return receive a large share of groceries each week, worth far more than the cost, along with a financial-literacy course and budgeting workshops. The model is built around dignity and accountability rather than a free drop-in pantry. Based in east Portland. 503-251-5431.
